  • Pulling a thin wall and base
  • Shaping

At the end of this 6 week class, students will be able to use the wheel to throw: a straight cylinder, a shaped cylinder, and a bowl. Students will be allowed 25 lbs. clay then able to purchase more if needed.

**There are NO prerequisites for this class**

Instructor:  Pat Biggs –

Patrick Biggs from NC. Graduate of UNC Greensboro. B.F.A. in Art Design, with a concentration in Ceramics. Graduated in 1995. Taught over 1,000 Boy Scouts wheel thrown pottery techniques. Also taught many adult classes beforehand and one class with 6 home school teenagers and their Moms. Most rewarding experience so far would be teaching handicapped children to throw clay on the wheel and create beautiful works of art. I feel like I have found God’s purpose for me, and have been blessed with the ability to teach and pass on the knowledge I have obtained. To me, that is the truest “Meaning of Life”. To give back and pay it forward.
