Newburgh, Indiana October 22, 2018 – We are pleased to announce our next leader by naming Kelly L. Vanover as Executive Director of the Foundry Center for the Arts. The Foundry Center for the Arts is a place where artists are welcomed, nurtured, and given the opportunity to flourish in a safe environment through classes and experiences in art, music, pottery, dance, private lessons, and theatre as well as music ensemble (choir and bands) options for all ages.
Mrs. Vanover was most recently the Foundry’s Assistant Director and stepped into the Director role on October 2rd, 2018. Prior to joining the Foundry she was the Children’s Ministry Director at Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, IN. Her previous work experience included management roles at Deaconess Health System and Shoe Carnival Corporate located in Evansville, IN, as well as Office Max Corporate located in Naperville, IL. Her career resume includes vast professional musical theatre and broadcast experience.
Mrs. Vanover holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from Murray State University.
“Kelly is such a wonderful fit for the Foundry Center for the Arts with both her business and artistic background”, said Sara McAtee the Foundry’s President. “Our Board is confident that Kelly will elevate the Foundry by leading our strategic commitment to seeing our community strengthened in the arts.”
“The Foundry Center for the Arts is so uniquely beautiful and provides such a need to so many in our area. Our mission and vision going forward is to provide not only art education, but an overall creative experience to both children and adults – which is more important today than ever before. I am honored to be a part of the Foundry’s mission.” Mrs. Vanover said.
Mrs. Vanover succeeds Scott Payton, the Foundry’s most recent Executive Director. Mr. Payton served faithfully since the Foundry’s birth in 2017. During this time, Mr. Payton led the Foundry Center for the Arts well and we thank him for his dedication and commitment to our mission and vision.
The Foundry Center for the Arts continues to increase its reach in the community by most recently adding an after school program with plans to increase this to more schools in Warrick County. This is one of many new plans for the upcoming future.
We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey. Your contribution and service has been invaluable. For the Foundry to grow, it is volunteers and customers like you that will help us remain a beautiful place of artistic expression that God designed it to be. So we say “Thank You!” and we can not wait to see your smiling faces again soon.
