The fall 2018 production of ELF Jr. here at the Foundry Center for the Arts is sure to be a great time. This show is focused on our middle school / high school age students looking to have fun singing, dancing, and acting in an on-stage theatre production.

Our theatre productions at the Foundry are (of course) about creating a great show, and we expect our students (and parents) to understand the responsibility and commitment to the production needed to do our best job possible. However, even more than the quality of the show itself, we value the quality of the experience. We love to have fun, learn, and offer our best at the same time, so expect your child to be enthusiastic about participation and anxiously looking forward to every moment they can spend here – because that is the way we like it!

We also enjoy getting to know the parents and including them in as much of the fun as possible. So get ready for a great time  and sign up. We can’t wait to see you!

Expectations:

BE HERE! and ON TIME

  • Be at all rehearsals for the time which you are scheduled and be on time and not leave earlier than you are scheduled. You must be at rehearsal for the time you are scheduled.
  • If an absence is necessary, permission must be received from the Director. Excessive tardiness or more than one unexcused absence may result in removal from the show.
  • Attend Tech Saturday and all dress/tech rehearsals. Missing ONE of these rehearsals (without approval) may result in removal from the show.

Be at all performances.

  • All conflicts must be listed at the time of auditions, and will be taken under consideration during casting. Conflicts, other than illness, reported after casting may require that you drop the show.

BE RESPECTFUL!

  • Show respect to the directors, leaders, and other cast members. Let’s use encouraging words and actions. Listen to the directors during rehearsals.
  • Keep the theater clean at rehearsals and during shows. Help throw away trash and clean up.

BE PROMOTIONAL!

  • Promote the show and invite friends, family, and neighbors! People you know want to see you, so invite them!

BE PREPARED!

  • Practice, memorize, and learn lines and music. Be prepared when you come to rehearsal.
  • Provide for personal items and some costume pieces as needed.
